Or, it's just adding itself into the ghost queue? Good grief. I finally got a response on "print test page"- except, it was page 7 of 29 from a website weeks ago- which I CANCELLED, yet it's somehow still in there somewhere? The last two things I've now tried to print act as if they're going to go through, but then the printer icon disappears and the queue is empty.
I went to Brother and installed the drivers again. I went through administration AND the CUPS control in the browser to delete all jobs and also to try to uninstall the printer, restart the computer, and reinstall it. I press "print" and the icon shows by the clock, but then it either goes to idle or processing and then idle. Tonight, I go to print a bank statement and the printer is in the list of available printers and shows as online. I just printed to this printer about two weeks ago and it's been installed and printing for months/years.
